We stumbled on a footlocker at a vintage sale. The label on it was addressed to a woman in Pennsylvania, and the return address was the USS Reid, Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii. How could we resist? With a bit of research and a few key connections, that footlocker became the foundation on which an incredible story of resilience and courage was built.
