Basket

Tohono O’odham basketry is an ancestral art form that has been passed down from generation to generation.  Intricate and decorative, woven shapes were developed as items of necessity in a time before modern containers. O’odham baskets are made in a variety of shapes and sizes, employing different materials and finishes specific to their uses.

Baskets are as diverse as the artists who create them and serve to connect contemporary Native People and their ancestors.
